Gorge Work Out
Hiked the Gorge today (Eagle Creek and some other locations) to start getting ready (in shape) for the up coming NW workshop season. WOW it was beautiful and the water was roaring out there!!! Cant wait for May and the peak of greens!

This was just a quickie. I put both a polarizer and a 9 stop ND on it and took a 1 minute exposure breathing on the lens about 1/2 way though for the soft look.

Darn it ( I am behaving!) Mark-!!!--did you have to post such a great shot------ I can not wait to get back to shooting in the northwest in a few weeks.

Last year , after spending about 26 days in red rock country, while driving home, I hit the gorge right at the golden light in the evening. I made no images but stopped to enjoy our area....

Love this image!

Mark, a very nice almost infrared result! A big print should look spectacular.

The warm weather for this week will surely help in getting us to the peak of the greens. The early greens are the best as they are almost phosphorescence in their presentation.

By the way, did you decide on a lab for your acrylic face mounted on di-bond prints?

LOL Jack!

Thanks Phil. I am looking at Infinity Images in Portland.

Really nice take, Mark. I have hundreds of photos from this viewpoint, but going there is so addictive. I'm looking forward to May and June to come!

I agree Ned. I always passed this one by not thinking it was all that great. Yesterday I climbed down to various (dangerous) vantage points and found this falls astonishing! It is HUGE!!! 101 feet. I almost want to take up kayaking to go down into the bowl there!
