What a wally I have been by naming yesterdays post as an Auger Buzzard when after years of shooting the two species I should certainly know the difference There are certain similarities and an Auger Buzzard was on the following frames and so it was a stupid error
My thanks go to Ian Butler for the heads up
My post yesterday was intended to back up what Barry was saying and not as a post for critique but hey ho that is my problem Anyway I now post one of the previous frames that hopefully fits the bill a little better. this was in Ndutu, Tanzania a couple of weeks ago.
I used f4.5 because I half expected the bird to drop below the tree line and wanted the trees OOF

I wouldn't have known any better if you hadn't mentioned it Bob.

Great to see the an un-clipped version of this bird, Bob. What sort of size are they, say in relation to a UK Buzzard?

Nice unclipped version and I also like the inclusion of the tree line

Thanks for the comments guys.
Andy. They are max 68Cm tall with the Uk buzzard usually at 57Cm so a little larger but not too much. I believe that my pic is of a full adult bird. I have some pics of them perched in good light and the soft creamy coloured chest is fabulous
