Cleared for Landing
Seems like this is the year for nesting ospreys in Fort Collins. I was grateful the male turning his head my direction as the shutter released!
The image was taken with a 50-500 Sigma lens. Sure would be nice to have a high quality fixed long lens when taking critters images. However, would be hard to justify a lens that probably would cost more than my car is worth!
As always, critiques are appreciated and quite welcome.

Neat shot, Ken!
You could always ride a bike...

Looks pretty good to me. That lens seems to do a pretty decent job.

Nice image of the landing Ken. I agree with John, that the Sigma looks pretty good. I always wondered how it performed.

Thanks for the comments. In regards to the sharpness, I did use a Nik filter to enhance the sharpness. I suspect those wildlife photographers who sell for a living may not find the sigma lens up to their standards. However, for the rest of us, it is probably a good compromise between cost and functionality.
