Meadow pipit
D7000 500mmf4 ISO 400 1/500s at f8 handheld thru car window (passenger side! ) All C+C warmly welcomed and many thanks for loking and taking the time to comment on my previous images.

Taken just before my Wheatear image as the pipit sat on a lovely lichen and moss encrusted stone dyke.

If the fact that birds always sit on the passenger side of a car annoys you, Nick, you could always try buying a LHD car  I suspect that the reality is that they feel more comfortable doing that, as that nasty human is a bit more remote. However, I feel you have little room to complain as you have a beautiful image here.

Hi Nick, as David said, this is a very nice image and lovely setting. However I feel the whole image is just too saturated with yellow, giving an overall cast to it. By adjusting the 'colour balance' (the overall look) I think you will find that everything comes more to life and will give the image more appeal. Personally I might to add a bit more moss to cover the edge of the stone towards the bottom trim, RHS.

cheers

Good advice from Stephen re yellow saturation, though why he needs to give it in triplicate only he can say!!
An excellent image nonetheless.

Looks ok to me. Maybe a teeny bit central but no big deal.

Cheers

Hi Nick.
Don't think it mattered which window, you did end up with a cracking image.

Keith.
