This is from Clark County Lake this past weekend. Sat. had nothing but blue skies but there were some nice clouds, even a few sprinkles along with strong north winds Sun. morning.
This is a two image merge taken with wide angle. PS CS3 couldn't do a very could job with the merge so I tried my old standby, PTGUI. It seemed to work a little better.
It was nice to see all the green grass after last year's drought, but I thought that most of the green is actually "cheat" grass. The good grass looked like it still needs a lot more rain to recover.

Ken, I really like the strong colors in your shot. The tree in the middle is the focal point.

Like it. I agree with Tom that the tree is a great central point. In fact I think it might be better without the rock in the foreground.

The surrounding landscape looks pretty interesting Ken. I like the sidelight slipping in under that blanket of clouds. Did you make any images of the lake itself?
Tom and Darren, that tree caught my attention there also because of it's setting, about 3/4s of the way up the hillside on a grassy flat spot. I find myself guilty of often trying to hard to get "the foreground rocks" so I don't really have any shots without the rock but I will sure try next time I'm there. This pic is from a little farther up so it is missing the rock and tree both.
Wayne, I don't usually take pictures of the lake, in fact I often wonder what that valley must have looked like before the lake was there.
