Just like buses, you wait for one and then seven come along, all at once.
This is a real feeding haven for OP's, as the mobile kitchen of 1000+ buffalo roam & graze the plains. They provide a valuable service and a nice, colourfull distraction to these, black, powerful, bad tempered (at times) beasts.

Great shot of the oxpeckers, Steve, and that empty space at the top suits the subject, but surely they are on a cape buffalo in Botswana?

The eyes and bill colour are something else. I'd prefer one single oxpecker larger in frame, just my preference they all seem to be a bit lost as you have them here and the impact is lost for me.

Hi Steve, agree with Barry on this one. The OP's do seem a little lost as most of them are looking away from the camera and have their backs to you. Now if you had been on the other side of the Buffalo....
Steve i can see the eye on 5 out of 7 not bad i think,as Barry says the eye and the bill makes these birds.

It would have been nice if there was something in the blue sky that the left hand oxpecker was focusing on. As it is, IMHO, there is too much empty sky which distracts me from the main subjects. Still, seven in one shot reminds of of the old fairytale.
