Like most people, the weather has prevented me from getting out much this week. This is from the single time I did get out, when I found a lapwing with newly hatched chicks very close to the track across Elmley reserve. Dad was trying his best to be a barrier between his chicks and a shower that had just started.
Thanks for looking.

Nice detail David and the whites held well, just wish the chick was just as sharp as Dad, although I can appreciate how difficult that might have been. Looks like Dad was doing his best.

Impressive image Lapwings aren't easy at the best of times, the larger version shows even better.

Aaahhhhhh cute! Great image David although the chick is a little soft as Steve pointed out. It's to be hoped Dad didn't need to take a dump!

Very good "as is" shot . Saw one doing exactly the same about an hour ago.
