Hope one of you in-the-know 5D MkII owners can help me with this question....if this model camera is used primarily for its video function, how much wear and tear does that put on the camera? Is it tougher/easier/the same on it than shutter actuations for still photography? Thanks in advance for your answers

That would be a good google question. My personal thought is that it doesn't affect the shutter mechanism as much as it does the sensor itself since it is open the whole time you are recording. I don't know if recording causes the sensor to beat up like it does when doing long exposures.
PS. I hate replying on my I-phone...the keyboard on these things suck so excuse any bad spelling s!
