Chaco Cayon Sunburst
I've been to Chaco a few times and always enjoyed the photo and visit experiences. During a previous visit the tour guide discussed the role of the sun and sun watchers in life at Chaco. While photographing this t-doorway a few weeks ago the sun started to enter the frame so I decided to go with it and create a sunburst since that is a part of the Chaco history. Not surprisingly, I ended up with quite a bit lens flare, removed what I could of it in Photoshop. Comments and feedback appreciated. Kipp

Awesome Kipp! After watching several PBS type shows on the sun and moon significance at Chaco, this has even more special meaning to it! Love it!

I like it, especially in context of all the astonomical alignments in Chaco.

Exceptional image, the sunburst makes for a very unique perspective on this view. Really, really like it. You handled the flare well!

Awesome. One of the best Chaco images I have seen. The sunburst really adds a dynamic quality that really does tie in with the history. Kudos.

Unique and very well executed view of an iconic spot. With some TLC, I think you can get rid of the last of the lens flare.

Nicely seen and captured. I think if it were mine I might try going back to the raw file and pulling down the exposure a little. I think I would like a little more drama in the various surfaces. The horizontal planes look a little hot to me and I would think the walls on camera side could move down a little in exposure

Love this. Definitely something a bit different from what you normally see from here. Well done.
