Sanderling
It was rather smelly lying in the rotting seaweed, but worth it to get this super little wader which wasn't running at 90mph for once.

Nice to see one going into summer plumage, graham. the exposure is fine, but I do think there is a lot of wasted space at the top. Maybe a panoramic crop would suit it better?

Graham

Now I think the grey tones set the image off for me well worth the effort. I prefer the smaller version with this one.

A lovely detailed shot with a variety of colours in the setting which I like. Perhaps a little off the top would give more prominence to this super wader. :toast:

A super image Graham. No problem with the comp for me as the colours and tones at the top I feel really add to the picture. If it were mine the only change I would make would be to clone out the white area towards the bottom left. :toast:

Looks good as is for me but agree about the pale area bottom left.

A cracker and It looks sharp enough to take a tighter crop removing the white stripe on the brown seaweed to the right of the bird whislt at the same time dealing with Johns pale area and the surplus space above

a nice shot Graham. If it were mine I think I would take a little off the top, the right and the bottom, but not a great deal. I like the colours in the background so wouldn't want to lose too much of that.

Cracking image Graham, the LH pale area is a little distracting but is no big deal. Like this shot very much.

Thanks guys and your thoughts are, as always, much appreciated.

I thought long and hard about the crop and the lighter areas (larger boulders showing through the weed in the tideline), but decided in the end to present FF and to leave the image as taken
