Hi Phil.
Phil this looks a very clever piece of work and it certainly works for me,maybe a tad more on the top/bottom but after saying that i would be very pleased to have it just as it is,
Keith.

that's nice Phil. It may be an optical illusion but would it benefit from a slight CCW rotation? I would also prefer a bit more of a side profile for the Goldfinch, but that's very minor. Works well otherwise.

Hi Matt, got me wondering about the rotation, the more i look at it the more i can not decide!!!! Yeah I know what I mean about the head turn I have others with a head turn but choose this one because of the glint in its eye!!

Chears Keith, know what you mean about top and bottom but it was hard to get him all in!! :toast: :toast:

Hi Phil
Small nits covered . Nice shot. As you may know I am not a real fan of this sort of pool shot angle for various reasons. My son and I had a phase a of it a while back but I couldn't handle the reflections. Couldn't decide what to look at !
Well executed though.
Cheers

Phil

Now this image is an excellent reflective example IMHO I'd be proud to have such a result.

Nice reflection shot.
Only nit I have is allready mentioned, namely rotatting a little CCW.

I think Phil based on the EXIF data when you look at the image, you did well at 1/80sec, but would think you could have expanded the ISO, especially with Nikon, to get greater SS. With -1 comp, I assume it was a bright day, but would prefer more tonal & depth range above & below, if you took a horizontal line through the centre? I can see where John is coming from re the image & reflection, but also for me, it's all a bit, too clean & new, no debris, dirt on the stones, moss, leaves, etc, but perhaps that will come once the set beds down, which hopefully produces then a more realistic look & feel IMHO.

A smidgeon of CCW rotation will do the trick.  An excellent, somewhat surreal, image due to the almost perfect reflection. Great stuff.

That looks familiar Phil ......... Slight rotation required as mentioned, but looks good otherwise  :wavey:

Hi Phil hope you doing ok firstly and enjoying your photography. It needs a little CCW rotation as mentioned, the image looks to set up if that makes sense? Wonderful bird and reflection though, nice composition, detail and colours. I do like the low level too all the best   :wavey:

I like this loads, love the setting and the general composition. It really works for me. :toast:

Beautifully executed shot. Like John, though, I find a perfectly symmetrical composition a bit confusing to the eye. Lovely colours and detail though.

Great reflection image. Not often that you see a true reflected image. Works for me.
