Until today it had not been a good year for brown hares at my local site. Today things were suddenly very different in the warm sunshine, and I not only had the choice of five animals, I also had them coming so close that getting the whole animal in frame was becoming a problem.
On this shot I have added a little canvas on the right to give the animal somewhere to run into.
Thanks for looking.

There seems to be less hares around on the farm here as well. Nice capture but it looks to be favouring the front right leg?

It's a superb shot, it has a very determined look in the eye!! Haven't seen a hare this year so am very envious.

Great shot David, you have captured the movement very well. Nice lighting and B&G too.
David there are very few around my part of Lincolnshire and very few road casualties .This is a very good shot and like the others i could not see where the canvas was added.

Looks like a hare on a mission. Great timing and technique with the added space.

Thanks for the comments, folks. Bob - the hare was running, there was nothing wrong with the front feet, I have a sequence and both front legs are fully engaged at different times. Graham - yes it was harsh lighting, but after the last week I wan't going to complain about that! David - it (presumably a female) was certainly on a mission, trying to get away from the one coming up from behind.

What a nice all action image, you can see the intent in the eye.
