Sanderling
I sat on the beach and waited for a group of Sanderling to come close to where I was. It's amazing that if you still still they are not spooked at all.
7d 400mm f5.6L Tripod used.
Exposure Time = 1/1600"
F Number = F8
Exposure Program = Aperture priority
ISO Speed Ratings = 200
Aperture Value = 6 AV
Exposure Bias Value = -0.67EV
Metering Mode = Pattern
C & C always appreciated.

The pebbles distract a little but the are naturally occuring so altogether works well.

I agree about the pebbles, but there is not much you can do about them, and the bird itself is excellent.

that's nice Kim although is the head perhaps a little soft? I like the composition and particularly the wave in the background.

Thanks guys, your comments are appreciated, am always a bit wary of sharpening too much Matt- and the pebbles - well I picked this particular shot for those pebbles as I thought they were quite pretty!!!!

I think Craig sums this one up nicely with the word "fresh"
It's the first thing I thought when I opened it. Really great light for shooting such a light subject
