The smartest KF that I have seen on NPN that did not have a fish in its beak

Cracking image of a kingie JR. Not so keen on the pruned perch though, maybe paint out the end a little to mask it?

Reminds me of a pottery kingfisher my mother-in-law used to have until she broke its beak off.

LoL... agree on the perch, but the pose on the first is great... I'm sure Fran told me that one the wildlife rescue places has a KF that flew into a widow and broke its beak....

The second one really made me chuckle. The perch on the first one does not worry me, it does not look as though it were done recently and certainly does not detract from a fine shot.
