Spring Glow
Spring glow in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area from the balcony of the Vista House. Initially, I was by myself in soaking up this scene but soon was surrounded by multitudes of tourists. A fair amount of work in LR4 and CS5 to bring out the glow and contrast while still retaining detail. In CS5 I made extensive use of luminosity masks which helped to balance the brightness, contrast and detail definition. We all enjoyed the light show!

Canon 5D MKII, 1/60 sec at f/11, ISO 100, 65mm (EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM)

Nice work here. I really enjoy these types of shots that show off the changing light and rising mist/clouds. You did a good job of picking a moment and comp which enhanced the drama with the exposed road.
