An experiment with abstracts
A friend is trying to teach me how to do water abstracts and this was my first attempt. I'm gonna keep thing till I get it right. He has this technique nailed down and I love his work.

Nice comp and color, I like the subtle reflections as well.

Beautiful shot! Other than a long exposure, did you use other techniques to enhance the abstract effect?

Well Glenn, I cropped it some, pumped up the saturation in lightroom, went to PS and switched to lab color, ran a curves adjustment using soft light, and garnished it with a dose of Tony Kuyper's make it glow effect. The person who is showing me how to do this has some fantastic shots but he doesn't have a website up so I can't share.

I sure think you got this one right, Jack. I love it. Well executed!
Masterful 'development', too. Understated, yet effective. You might consider cloning out the orange specks near the left edge.
And even though you got this one right, keep going by all means!
