I'm currently in the market for a good used Canon 24-105 lens. Of course, I'll keep my eyes open here on NPN, but it seems the Fred Miranda buy/sell forum always has a LOT of equipment changing hands. Has anyone purchased through it? Is it reliable? Or just a way to get gyped out of your hard earned money? I'm also continuing to troll KEH and other used stores online, but does anyone have other ideas? I'm not crazy about e-Bay - have heard too many stories of scams there (which is why I'm leery about Fred Miranda...) Advice, anyone?
I've been a Fred Miranda member for years. I've found most members to be very knowledgeable and helpful as well as talented in their fields. I would look at the years the seller has been a member and ask them for referrals. It shows you are consciencious and that I'm a bad spellar.
I have several purchases from the FM people - lenses, actions, and a backpack.
Never a problem - I find the members honest, reliable, and courteous.
Of course, as Mark said, always ask questions and get references.
Good luck finding just what you want!
Sandy
Hi Angela,
I have a like new Canon 24-105mm I have rarely used. It has been on my camera body only 20-30 times.
Original carton & Canon leather pouch (LP1219) & lens hood (EW-83H) included. They go for around $1039.00 new at B&H Photo.
Will let it go for $800.00 if you're interested?
Insured shipping included.
