Went out again this morning hoping that the cold was going to keep the midges away, it did. Unfortunately the sun wasn't for coming out this morning, but given the colour problems I'm having with it I'm quite glad.
The grouse are now so well accustomed to the hide that there is a danger they may come in the back door for a bit of shelter.

Hi John.
Bird looks great on that frosty ground and the bg is super, only little nits i have is could do with a bit more space at the bottom and a bit more detail in the whites, that said perfection is hard to achieve and you still have a very good image.

Great shot John.....they can be very confiding can't they? Colours semm perfect to me. They are blue in overcast light but look black in the sun.Becoming one of my fave birds.
