Sedona Supermoon
It took two trips, but Adam and I were able to capture the supermoon rising between the spires of Cathedral Rock. From last evening.

Our first trip on Thursday was thwarted by high clouds obscuring the moon, so we walked down to Oak Creek for a reflection of the sunset.

Doug, just beautiful. #1, I love the angle here, the way you have the moon just peeking to the right of that stunning spire.

Nice work, Doug! I figured you'd be out shooting that yesterday. I really like that second shot myself. I shot it from a higher vantage point (on the hillside behind you)...you didn't see me waving??

Very nice Doug, I thought about heading up to Sedona for the supermoon but decided not to. Trying to find a good place down here to view it.

Thanks all.
What causes the dark blue ring around the moon?

Guy, sorry I did not see you wave. You may have to yell louder
Pam, it has been enjoyable shooting with Adam.

Hi Doug,

It's been great getting out shooting with you! I like all three images, but the first is my favorite, probably because I didn't shoot that comp. :jump:

Wonderful shot Doug! That first one is my favorite but the sky in that last one is amazing! What a haul!

A fine set indeed. I like that first one the best, too. :toast:
