Greater Spotted at Pool
Still they come - despite the hide being flooded and water every where. Once they get used to a site they seem to stick to it.
This is why I got the 70-300. The other Sigma at 100mm would give problems when birds this size come to the front.
Might be a little blue, but then the blacks on these are a bit like that.
D7000
Nikor 70-300

Very slight criop.

Very nice, John
Plenty going on in the picture, but none of it is distracting from the main star.

Although I'm not a fan of this elevated viewpoint that is really your trademark, I do concede that you make it work very well

John you weild that D7000 and 70-300mm like a true maestro. It is virtually 3D and is, as always, a technically superb image.

John

Do they get any better? Just how many species do you get visiting in a year?

Thanks all
Barry- not sure about in a year as it varies , but its 61 at pools so far not counting waders and ducks etc. Its 45 at this pool where the woody was done.
Kim -Thanks for the E mail- no need to build a pond-use a dustbin lid ! Works well in the right place.
Cheers

Your usual standard. Black/white well exposed and a great setting.

Excellent 2D image. A shame that its red backside would make a colour 'glyph a bit problematic.
