I visited a local lake this morning and was treated to a group of 4 American White Pelicans swimming near the bank of the lake and stopping to preen their feathers. They are quite the characters and absolutely unbothered by groups of people stopping to look and watch.

Exposure looks good on the difficult white subject. The darker bird and its reflection is a minor distraction that maybe a slight change in position may have helped. I've wondered about the "dorsal fin" atop the beak.

Spectacular detail and nice behavioral image.

Ditto on the excellent detail in the feathers, and the behavior. I also agree the darker bird up top is a minor flaw. Not a deal breaker, though. Very well done.
