Hi Keith, we had lots of them passing through Kent a couple of days ago, it's nice that they are heading north at last. It must be the same ones as ours were always facing away from the photographer as well  Despite that, I like the pose, and your control of depth of field is excellent.

I like the angle Keith, it's a splendid shot, and I do like the female of this species. Depth of field is superb. :toast:

Would have liked to have more of a head turn Keith but you take what you can get. Great DOF as already been stated. That D7000 and 300mm f2.8 looks a killer combo! Lots of wheatears about up here now. Nice to see them flitting about by the roadsides.

Like how the dark to light BG works well with this pose. The soft light has done well for this image too.

Keith

I like the head turn makes a pleasant change and shows the back detail well.

Nice point of view, a bit different and i think that makes the image that much better as well!

OK so the head is looking away from you slightly, but I think here it is complimenting the composition and pose of the bird... I quite like it....

Hi Keith, one of your best, well since I have been back, LOL.

Like the slightly darken RHS, works well. Can again see Phils POV, but no deal breaker. Would drop the Blue overall to take the cast out, evident in the white tail feather and on the post, easily fixed. Just watch the sharpening, it's just on the turn I think, but again personal choice.
