Meadow Pipet???
Hello everyone, I haven't visited here for sometime, due to the passing of my Mother In Law. My wife and I are back and forth to Gower a lot, so I took the opportunity to try out my new 2nd hand Sigma 500mm F4.5 lens. I think it's a Meadow Pipet, but can't be positive, as the place where it was taken, Pennard Cliffs, could suggest a Rock Pipet? The weather was kind, and the morning light stunning, a far cry from this morning!
Regards to all,
Paul Rosser :wavey:

Canon EOS 7D

Sorry to hear about your mother in law. The setting is great for the photo is great, and I hope the 500mm will give you many years of good service.

Very nice setting and a very nice composition showing that you don't always heave to be big in the frame...

For me a very effective image...

Sorry about your mother in law, any loss is not easy....

Looks a little bright on my laptop Paul but this a great image showing the bird in its habitat. Please accept my condolences for your loss.

condolences, nice shot would clone the yellow top right and go for a uniform green bg but its personal :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

Paul - as mentioned by The Karate Kid above, the yellow top would be better if it wasn't yellow, so I'd do the clone or content aware scale and make it uniform too.

Watch the bokeh and saturation/brightness on things in the FG too - I'd be tempted to soften that a bit and mute it a little too.

It's a great photo, bird just the right size in the frame - great job matey!

Condolences btw.
