Green Winged Orchid....
1Ds2 + 500/4 + 36mm Extension, supported on beanbags
ISO200 1/500 @ f5.6
Muddy knees, in fact muddy everything...
Nigh on full frame..

Hi,

One from this morning when the weather was kind and not blowing a gale or soaking everything in sight and the light was just right for one of my favourite subjects...

Image is as is straight from the camera simply colour temp correction and a very slight exposure adjustment in lightroom 4

All the best

Phil

Yes, the soft focus effect makes it for me too. You were lucky to have no wind, we've had a breeze all day.

Love this Phil, lovely soft colours and the diffused grass really make this image. 500mm f4 for flowers.......hmmmmmmm! Never thought of that!

Hi Phil, keeping us on our toes with diverse imagery. The light and colours look like the same location as Rene's shot, LOL. Good call on the 500, works nicely with fungi too. Not sure about the darkening corner at the bottom right? A very restful image.

A wonderfully mellow image and the colours are superb. Good to see a 500mm in action - I tried some fungi with mine last year and wondered why I'd never done it before :toast:
