Avocets mating
A shot from a recent trip to Norfolk. The avocets seemed to be everywhere, and everywhere they were, they were at it  Quite a performance from the male before getting to work with lots of preening, washing and flicking water over the female while she remained in this position waiting for action ..

Great feather (and water droplet) detail, and the eye of the female stands out clearly. The eye of the male, however, is a little on the dark side. Can you apply a little selective lightening to bring it out a bit more?

Great behavioural shot well seen and captured with the black and whites well handled. Very minor nit covered.

A great action shot- but for some reason pics of birds mating never seem to go down too well.( Not that that it matters really  )
Don't know why.
Good stuff though.
I agree with David - could be brightened a bit more .
Cheers
