Due to my failure to research optimum settings for shooting the moon, I got ZERO pics of the hyped super moon. I ventured out to Arches, and there were tons of other photogs there. In fact, when I left and drove by Balanced Rock, I could see an entire row of glowing LCD screens in the parking lot, all lined up shooting Balanced Rock in silhouette of the moonglow. Pretty cool.
Shortly before the moon appeared at my location, I turned around to see a group of photogs in silhouette next to Turret Arch and snapped off a shot with my new Canon S100. It's actually my favorite shot of the whole night, despite the fact the super moon is conspicuously absent
