I'm Elaine and I live in Wapiti, Wyoming. Wapiti is about half way between Cody and Yellowstone's East Gate. I enjoy camping, hiking, horseback riding, fishing and various shooting sports. My camera is always with me. I'm just getting started as a serious wildlife photographer and look forward to getting feedback from other photographers about my work.

Welcome Elaine! Like Anne said, you will find we are a pretty decent group and we've got a variety of photographers from wildlife to landscape to flowers...you name it, we've got it. We also have outings at various times of the year as well as our annual shindig. Looking forward to seeing some of your work!

Welcome aboard Elaine! You've landed in the right place if you are jumping to that next level which sounds like you are. Folks here are encouraging and truthful. If you upload a beautiful Wyoming sunset with a distracting rock in the foreground, you'll get feedback saying you've gotten a beautiful sunset with a distracting rock in the foreground, lol. No softsoaping around here, and it's the best Rx for our work, no doubt. You'll get to know people from hobbyists with a passion for the beauty we see all the way up to the pros that end up on covers of major magazines (I'm not one of them, lol!). Welcome!

Welcome Elaine. Great spot for critique and information gathering. Speaking of which, my daughter and I are headed for the park around June 8th and I may tap into your knowledge base for current info on where one can find a nice juicy bison carcass to watch.

Hello and welcome, Elaine. I know right where Wapiti is - a beautiful spot along the North Fork. I was fortunate to work with GYC on the Absaroka-Beartooth Front last fall - maybe our paths will cross sometime. I recently saw a beautiful fall image from the N. Fork on WOC's site - was that you by chance?
