I stopped by the Tuttle Creek river pond area last night on my way home from work to try out the new TC-2E III that had just showed up. Really I just needed an excuse to relax for a few minutes. I drove around the lake looking for some wildlife and just wasn't having much luck, when I seen some geese with their young. So I went and sat on the shore waiting for them to pass by when my little friend showed up. He must have spent 15 minutes their along side of me eating his dinner. Couldn't have asked for a better way to end my day. This was shot at a pretty high ISO to keep my shutter speed up to the focal length rule as I was hand holding it. Thanks, again everyone for the welcome.
Just a little FYI the TC-2E III is noticably better in IQ and sharpness than my copy of the TC-1.7E II. Real close to being just as fast focusing too.
Well try this again, for some reason when I resize the picture for the larger file it does not want to post it. I resized it in LR and put the long side to 1200 pixels like it says too for the larger file. Any ideas?
Excellent photo Chris. Great timing on capturing the moment the little guy was grabbing the vegetation.

Nice clean capture. Glad he put on a show.
I was wading knee deep in the Clear Fork one morning and one swam by me in the predawn light. All I saw was a something, big, brown, and close. Think I jumped 5 ft then realized what it was. Of course being set up in landscape mode I got no good pic of it. Yours seems to have cooperated.
Thanks for the comments.
Darren that sounds like something that would happen to me. It always seems like no matter what I'm set up for something else will happen. I remember once walking through a feild in the dark and coming up on a buck, I dont recall which one of us ran faster, but I gave him a run or the money. This little guy come right up to where I was at and acted like I was never there.
