During our evening walk, I saw that sunset could get interesting, so dinner was put on hold, and I returned with a camera. Unfortunately this was the maximum color, but I thought the clouds were worth sharing.

Wow!
That's one dramatic set of clouds! Well worth postponing dinner, eh?
I actually prefer the b&w version just because the color version looks a bit HDR-ish to me and the blues in the upper right quadrant are a bit 'electric' to my eye. With b&w, it's all about the wonderful shapes and textures.
Oddly, I prefer the color version also. John is right about B&W being about shapes and textures, and maybe because I perceive the color version being brighter for some reason, but that one appeals to me a little more. Both work on different levels. I bet a dark background would reveal more in the B&W. Great clouds, and definitely a shot worth missing dinner over.
Another vote for color. Somehow the mountains stand out much more in the color version, and seeing them under those amazing clouds makes the shot for me. I would probably back off the blue and the local contrast in the clouds a bit though.
WOW, talk about dramatic clouds! Bill, I honestly like both for different reasons and don't think I can pick one over the other. I would just keep and print them both!
Great shot! Definitely like the color version better. The blues really make this image for me. And who cares about a pretty, colorful sunset when you can have clouds like these!
