Silver & Gold
Been busy, and gearing up for my annual storm chase vacation, but i figured the cold front this morn would bring some neat conditions this morn, so i took a quick trip up to Silver Cascade in N Cheyenne Canyon for sunrise. Was hoping for a horizon break--that didn't happen, but the light was still pretty decent. :wavey:

Wow, Stan, dramatic book cover for sure! You handled the blending issues beautifully.

This looks really nice Stan! minor nit that you can probabbly fix easily, there is a bit of a halo where the clouds meet the ridge on the right

Stan, I work and hike on that trail frequently, and that is the best photo I've seen from there yet! Outstanding!

Really unique, creative and just awesome, Stan! That light on the stream is amazing, and it's connection with the sun plus the line of glowing green leaves really tie things together.

This is great Stan!!! I love the warm light on the rock and stream. You caught the sun just perfectly as well! Bravo!!! :toast:

Wonderful warm light here Stan. Nice job of getting that cloud to partially obscure the sun and avoid any flare issues. The green leaves on the bottom of the frame don't really add anything to me but they aren't a major distraction either.

Complete and total beauty of a shot Stan!

Hi Stan, and good to see you post again. This shot is beautiful, minus the funky green branch at the bottom. The overall color is so rich with stunning clarity. Nice blend too with just a hint of compression halo, but that's an easy fix.

I'm curious, this looks like the 24mm tse stitch square comp. If so, I bet you had a lot more of that killer sky to opperate with, so I wonder what more sky and less image width would look like. Just a thought.

A fine, unique and original composition. Great light, and the sunstar complements the image quite well.
What I really like is the lit tree at the lip of the sandstone and how it aligns with the sun! That just adds so much to an already appealing image.
Excellent work, Stan!
