I was initially put off by the Denver Botanic Gardens' seemingly Draconian policies regarding photography. Now I've decided I have to go anyway. They are currently exhibiting bamboo sculptures in a show called “Kizuna: West Meets East.” I think it would make terrific subjects for 4x5 black & white film. Or any other medium, for that matter.

I just wanted to give the Denver area folks a heads up. This could be a lot of fun.

I went to the gardens yesterday, Sunday. I didn't take my camera which was just as well as there was a big Mother's Day crowd and it might have been a bit of an ordeal. The bamboo sculptures are extremely cool and would indeed make many photo ops. Also, between the warm spring and recent rains many or most of the flowers are in full bloom. I'd like to return with my camera if we get a day with a little overcast in the near future.
