Great determined by who, Michael, you or me?
Once the technical aspects of a photograph are perfected, the only thing that separates one artist from another is a matter of style--and style is subjective--your idea of great may be different than mine. What the digital revolution has done is produce lots of technically proficient artists, and no way to separate the 'greats' from the mediocre other than a fickle marketplace.
