Barn Owl Just seizing the moment. Was driving when this chap flew over, managed to pull over and waited with camera, and 10 minutes later he returned. I was delighted to get the shot, but a little sorry for his victim! especially as I could see his eye!!

A great moment to catch... and a nice composition, however there are 'noisy' bands on each side of the image and there appears to be rather a lot of noise in the underside of the bird as if you have lifted the shadow areas too much... On the large version a couple of halos are evident, not serious but they are there...

The catchlights both in the owls and preys eye are great and help to make an appealing image to view, just needs a bit tender loving care...

Cracking image and well seen and shot Kim! As Phil has suggested needs a little TLC to get the best out of the image.

Hi Kim, yet again another excellent crit by Mr Phil.

My only suggestion would be to have the subject in a different placement within frame, easy to do, especially with the BKG as is. Still a cracking image, especially with the takeaway, LOL. :toast:
