And when they are they exchange Bees or Wasps..

Just got back from a fantastic weekend in Southern France photographing Bee-eaters (amongst many other interesting species) and here's one of the intimate moments i was able to capture.

Cool, very stunning shot. Where were you exactly?

Another cracking image Jeroen, the BKG really compliments the vivid & bright colouring of the birds. The insect is the icing on the cake. Have only photographed these in Africa, it's a little further than France, cool. :toast:

Gorgeous birds, and a great pose. Once again, I would love to have seen a larger version.

Thanks guys for your kind comments!
To David, uploading in a larger version is something i have become very carefull of as my images have appeared in several magazines without payment and people tend to use the larger versions for that sort of thing quite easily.

All the best,

All been said . Excellent.
If (if, If, if, ) it were mine - for posting here I would take a little off the right side(or add a little left )Just my personal opinion regarding balance. No big deal. You don't say if its full frame so maybe not possible/:toast:

Superb image, although I deplore the subjects' choice of sustenance. :frown: I love their colours though,
