John - the dirt road off Rt3 north of Pittburg, NH probably have the highest density of Moose of anyplace south of the western Mountains of Maine. Actually seeing them is uncertain but that is a hotspot that is more likely than many others.
That is one of the places i usually go. We cover several areas extensively north of the white moutains also rangeley maine. I also go up a few days early to see which logging roads are still gated or undrivable with mud. Have you been there in the last 30 days?

3 repliesI will be leading some photo tours exploring the backroads of northern nh and maine.
I will be going up next week. last year we found moose on dirt roads near the canadian border. I can't wait to get up there again.
I am also leading some trips to Acadia but that is terrible for moose photography.
I hope everyone is getting some great pictures.
Good Luck
