Partial eclipse
I don't know about you guys, but I had a helluva time getting anything decent of yesterday's eclipse. I thought there'd be a whole string of pics posted. Let's see 'em! (C'mon, Jack, I saw your awesome Sneffels one on FB.) Here's one of mine, setting behind Uncompahgre Peak. The flare was just absolutely unmanageable. Oh well, better luck next time, whenever that is.

I had better luck before and after the event. Here's before...

...and here's after.

Cool stuff Todd, and Jack "This was all I could get"? Looks awfully nice to me!
I completely dropped the ball and was unprepared to shoot or even view the event. Don't know where my head was last week (although my wife usually has an opinion on that  ).

Are we going to have to call Jack, "Lord of the Rings," now???

TC, those before and after shots are gorgeous!

Holy crap, Todd, that last eclipse shot is incredible! Almost unrecognizable as an eclipse, but sooo cool! Now I know what a triple sunset looks like. Good call on shooting over Uncompahgre! I was up on Hayden Mountain near Ouray and could see the wild sunset over the Uncompahgre area... not the same through a telephoto lens though.

I like it. The eclipse was tough to shoot and having something to use as a foreground was key. I think you got a good one. Looks like you were rewarded with a great sunset too.

Todd,

Did you take that shot from the double sun planet of Tattooine?

Crazy intersection!

Those before and after shots are quite nice, but the triple sunstar is out of this world!

Well, you did a lot better than I did, and the before/after images look great.
But that triple sunstar is wonderful! I don't know how you did it or why it occurred, but it sure is unique.
