Hello all!
I met a few from the RMNP Forum at the Spring Fling in Moab this past weekend. Enjoyed the focus stacking seminar Bill put on and enjoyed a topic that I had recently been researching!!

About me: I am a full-time Information Security Engineer and a full-time telecommuter, so I am fortunate to have quite a bit of control over my schedule. When not working my regular job, I work as a volunteer ranger in Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park, as well volunteer my time with the Blue Knights and the Colorado Mounted Rangers.

When not volunteering, I get outdoors for hiking/snowshoeing and shooting pictures, having sold a number of images and trying to build my photography into a full time business. I've spent quite a bit of time over the last couple of years in Rocky Mountain National Park and lately, Arches!!

I look forward to meeting more of you and drooling over the amazing photography.

Here is one picture from last December, in the Grand Canyon:

Welcome to the madness, Pete! This is a great place to hang out and I'm sure you'll make lots of friends here in spite of the fact that you hang out with me.

Hey Pete,

It was great meeting you at the fling. Hopefully we can get together again. In the meantime welcome to the forum...can't wait to see more of your work!

Hi Pete, Glad to have you in the asylum  There are a few inmates you have to watch out for but we don't give them anything sharp! Nice shot of the canyon.

Hey Pete, it was great to meet you and I look forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks for hauling me up to our "super secret" sunset location (as Jack referred to it). My little Civic would've had a bit of difficulty I'm afraid. You'll love the forum, so many great folks who always have an opinion, which is a good thing, because you'll learn a lot. I know I have.

Welcome Pete! I just joined and haven't had the opportunity to meet anyone yet, but I've already had some great suggestions and input for my trip to the Tetons this weekend. I haven't shared any photos yet, just trying to work up the courage to show my humble images to all of the great photographers who hang out here.

Thanks All! I'm sure, like in many forums, there are the "good" folks and the "troublemakers" [ahem, uh..Bret...LOL].

Gatherings like the Spring Fling are truly inspirational and a great motivator to continue improving my technique and vision!

Hi Pete - great to see you on RMNP. No 140 character posting limits here, unlike our usual virtual meeting place!

Welcome. And you are also welcome to visit us over in CSNP anytime too.

Oh, that Jackson. (Wish I had been there, Bret!) Welcome to the forum, Pete! Beautiful pastel colors in that Grand Canyon shot. I'm sure we'll all look forward to more!

Thanks All!

Nice to have more characters available to type, than on Twitter (though I will say that I've made some great connections via Twitter).

Jackson (J-Man) Edge is one great kid, who was quite shy the first day and a half I was in Moab back in March. Then, after my deer encounter, where I ended up spending Sunday in Moab, since my Explorer was totaled, Jackson become my best buddy (lol).

More images are sure to come. I've begun re-processing my pictures for a total re-vamp of my website. Add to that a whole slew of "to-do" places to shoot this summer and more planning for Fall Colors 2012, which should be one incredible adventure!

RMNP forum has some very talented folks which makes for great learning and a definite challenge to continue improving my skills!
