My view from Canyon De Chelly
After seeing all the great shots here of the eclipse I almost don't want to show mine. I didn't have the right type of filter but was able to do a composite of several shots about 5 minutes apart until the "totality".

I didn't have much luck including a foreground, it looks like that stategy worked better with objects that were above ground instead of below.

The real highlite of my trip was at Canyonlands. It looks like we should have had a Utah get-together since so may of us were there. This is from a point outside of the Park, near Dead Horse Point.

Ken, great 5 minute series on the eclipse. It looks like you had a great trip.

I like your time lapse effort Ken, well done. Canyonlands has some beautiful scenery for sure. Your photo does it justice, very nice image.

I would be proud of the time lapse and the shot over the Canyonlands is great. I like the highlights on the peaks and the valleys in shadow. It is as one would see it.

Great series in the first photo.
The extreme contrast of the bright sun brings about exposure issues--I had the same problem even when the sun was low on the horizon. Lots of noise in the darker portions to allow the exposure showing the actual eclipse.
Good work, glad you were "there"...

All are nice, but the Canyonlands shot is fantastic! Great sky and the light was perfect for this one. :toast:

You did good with the canyon and the eclipse. Yes any foreground was tough.

And I live the Canyonlands image!
