Faces of a Calf
Lower Calf Creek Falls near Escalante may be the prettiest waterfall I have seen with its water curving and angling over a moss-covered sandstone face. It provides plenty of options for more intimate landscape shots.

#1 Wide overall view (larger version provided)

#2 When the wind would blow in the right direction, the wayward water would form sheets on the right slope.

#3 Curtain Bottoms. These sheets would form nice patterns as they descended the face to the pool below.

The couple of mile hike up the canyon to the falls should be nice in the fall when the leaves are turning and cast against the varnished walls.

#7 Amphitheatre (last one)

Very nice set Doug I really like 3, 4, and 6 the most. Would have liked to see a bit longer exposures but it looks like these were taken mid day?

Thanks. I enjoyed Calf Creek Falls the most for photography during my week in Utah. Any suggestions are welcome.
Peter, these were taken in early afternoon after the sun moved west and the falls fell into shade.
The water has a little blue cast in these images, but wonder if that temp cast is concerning, or is a nice contrast to the green and reds?

You did a fine job capturing this amazing little jewel.
Colors look just fine to my eye and provide an appealing contrast.
Your more intimate telephoto images are unique and quite beautiful. My favorites are #'s 4 & 6 (esp. #4!).
I like the shutter speeds you chose in each of them, but wonder if you experimented with any longer exposures.
