Thanks for this post. My brother was in the Old Guard and spent a lot of time there.

You're most welcome, Jason. The men and women of the Old Guard are a very special group. I think someone called it the most demanding tedious assignment in all of the military, one that requires the utmost of self-discipline from each member of the unit.
