OT: Why I missed the Moab Spring Fling (With repost)
Last Year's Spring Fling was one of the highlights of my photographic year so I was quite bummed when I had to make a choice this year: Moab Spring Fling or cut some time off my trip to the Pacific Northwest. I've been shooting my way across Oregon and Washington for a week now. I'm really still bummed that I missed Moab but here are some of the reasons why.

#1 Ponytail Falls in the Columbia Gorge

#4 Last one for now. Sunset at Ruby Beach, WA. (Last Monday. I haven't seen the sun since)

Staying with some friends north of Seattle for a couple days before heading over to the Palouse tomorrow or Sunday. C&C on all images is welcome.

Gorgeous shot of Ponytail falls Bill. I also really like the B&W. Looks to me like you had a fine trip out there. Hope to see some of your Palouse shots as well. Congrats!

I like the b& w a lot, but I'd REALLY love to see it in color. These are all nice, Bill. Good excuse to miss Moab.

Your excuse for missing the Moab spring fling was much better than mine... I didn't shoot anything nearly as good as these. Well done!

Those first three images are outstanding, Bill!!
Extra kudos for the b&w image. That one is a prize winner for sure.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. This has been a grand journey so far and I'm headed for the Palouse in the morning. Todd, here is the color version. I like it but the B&W version was screaming at me before I even unscrewed the legs of my tripod.

I usually prefer color, but in this case the B&W version is by far the better version!

You spoiled it by reposting in color--never listen to the Toddster
Great set, looks like you had fun!

OK, you're excused! Nice work!

Definitely b&w. The rest are filled with that great color and light from the Pacific Northwest. A fine collection!

Another vote for b&w. Very nice set indeed.
