I posted a photo of a Red Tail Hawk with a lizard in the Avian Gallery. In the description, I mentioned the Hawk's behavior and that we saw him while crossing the footbridge to the parking lot at Bolsa Chica Wildlife Preserve in Huntington Beach, CA. While this photo does not have the technical chops for the Gallery, this shot showing a Tern dive bombing the Hawk captured what took place. There were dozens of Terns and one particularly aggressive Black Neck Stilt that were diving at the Hawk to chase it from its proximity near their nesting area. There were so many birds diving from all directions that I was amazing that none collided. We even saw more than one who had returned with fish in their mouths that were diving as well. In this image, the Hawk has his head turned toward the Tern. I have a second image with his face more visible, but the Tern is completely out of focus.
