One from the Dunes
Here's sunset on Friday from the dunes. It was the best sunset I've yet witnessed in the dunes! More photos here: http://www.mountainphotographer.com/dunes-and-sangres/

I think it's the best sunset I've yet witnessed in a photograph of the dunes too! Great job. That must have been quite a sight.

Wow that is a wicked sunset. Love how the clouds mimic the dunes and flow against each other.

Outstanding! Love the ripples on the foreground that pull you into the shot. Beautiful light.

That is just awesome Jack! I was at the dunes in early February to try and get some unique shots, but ol Mother Nature wasn't quite cooperative. Great day, but no clouds for character. This gives me motivation to go back. Well done!!

I like how the ripples, shadows and thin clouds all lead the eyes to the mountains. Nice fiery colors throughout, too. Must have been great to see this unfold.

Remarkable image, Jack and perfectly captured. So, it appears that you have both sidelight and golden bounce light. Is that right? :toast:

Finest sunset image that I've ever seen from the Dunes. I love how the clouds and the dunes mirror each other in such a grand sweeping wave. Bravo!!
And another fine read from your adventures.
