Castle Valley Sunset-from Spring Fling
Doug recently posted a similiar shot from the Castle Valley overlook, shot during the Spring Fling in Moab a few weeks ago.

I'm having trouble dealing with the flare that came in from the side and is seen as 2 lighter streaks near the middle of the image. I tried burning it down some and it just doesn't seem to work. Any way I can fix this issue? I always appreciate the tips and advice I get from you guys.

Cool shot, especially with the flowers on the right. Honestly, I can't give much input on how to process the flare out, although next time you shoot in side-lighting, try blocking the sun from hitting the front of the lens with your hand... Oh, perhaps some cloning would cover it up? Hope this helps a little!

This is one of the toughest fixes I know of. Others will be able to help with the pp of the flare. I go along with Nathan about blocking it during the shot. A lens hood helps, or a hat or your hand held to stop the sun off camera. I hope someone can help more because the comp is very well done.

Angela, Try using the history brush in the tools section of Photoshop. Go with a soft brush and use multiply in the mode box at the top of the photoshop frame. Set your opacity around 10 and leave your flow at 100. Adjust accordingly. Don't know if it will work but I use this method quite a bit for B&W photos.

Angela, that flare is really a shame. I really like the image and the comp is excellent. Often we do not see it until we are home and processing. Dean's suggestions sounds as good as any. I enjoyed meeting you at the Fling.
