Small Pond Reflection
Went with a photographer friend tonite and found this neat little pond. I need to go back there and work it for some more nice shots.

Nice image...this should be a great spot to shoot the seasonal changes.

Nice shot Jack, I really like the composition......simple yet engaging. :toast:

I like the idea and simplicity of a rural pond in great light, but the grasses on the LH side pull my eye away from the reflection. Maybe a step or two to the left changes everything, maybe it puts you in the pond?

This spot sure has lots of potential. Hope you work it well in the future.

I agree with David on shooting the seasonal changes. Maybe you could get in some night time shooting as well.

NIce DOF and yes, the interesting water plants leaves me wanting more to the left. Maybe clone out the man made structure? My eye is immediately drawn to it. Just an idea. I suppose it's about what you want to convey to your audience.

I think the reeds add some interest and are a nice balance to the background tree. Beautiful image Jack.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This is an area of photography that I want to explore more and your comments will help me in future comps and locations. I've always looked at the grand scenics but I need to start focusing at the things right in front of me as well.

Everyone's covered my first thoughts on this, but it is worth more time spent there.

Wonderful light and those foreground grasses balancing the tree make for a very nice composition.
I agree, clone out the fence on the horizon.
