At the Top of Dalles Moutain Road
I had no idea that you could see Mount Rainier from the top of this road, but you can

Very nice, John! Great FG a nice view of Rainier. It kinda looks like a funny-looking cloud formation

John,
I think Mt. Rainer is distracting not being in focus. This does have potential IMHO!

I think that may actually be Mt. Adams, but I could be wrong.

It has that round top.... more like what Mt. Ranier looks like in most images I've seen, but I could be wrong - I have not seen many photos with Mt. Adams in it; it was a very clear day and you could see a great many miles in any direction......

Erick, if the wind was not blowing like mad, I would have tried for more DoF....

That is Mt Adams. My other brother, Thor...has that bad boy as his living room view. I'm not feeling the image here. It appears grainy...you just spoiled me with your version of the Mt Hood one...

From the top of the Dalles HIlls, Mt Adams is right there, Rainier would be a bit over the horizon looking and to the right of Adams.

Rick, this was taken earlier when the sun was a bit more harsh. A number of comments at FM like this one more than the others I posted - I had no idea that Mt. Adams was this close. I don't see much grain - the foilage up on top is a lot more sparce like you mentioned. Thanks again for the driving instructions.

Thanks Mark, I'm glad to know it's Mt. Adams.
