Everybody isn't here to be a teacher and everybody isn't here to be a student, but as one who is here to be a student I want to say thank you to all the teachers. Please know that you are appreciated (by many of us, I'm quite sure).
In some form or fashion I think everyone here is both teacher and student (sometimes at the same time). You've come a LONG ways since you first joined, and I'm sure there have been plenty of members who have learned with you and from you as well.
Yes, Barbara! I agree with Bill and believe that is what makes NPN so valuable and unique. I agree with Bill about your progress since starting here and would say that just by the great questions you ask, that you have helped many to learn and also helped many to refresh and/or reformulate their knowledge to pass it on. I well remember how much I enjoyed your initial enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge. Thanks for that. It's been rewarding to watch your progress.

I, as have others have watched your photography climb upwards since you joined NPN. I have really enjoyed your series of spoonbill photos as well as others.
Ditto to the above comments! I owe much of what I know about photography to the great teachers on this site. I just hope i can give a small fraction of that back to others.

I agree 100% with other people's comments. I'm reminded of an old saying "The student learns from being taught, the teacher learns from teaching". I've always felt that if I can't teach something to someone else then I don't really understand it myself.
