One swallow...
...does not a summer make. I think this one would agree with the old adage.

It's the car park sign at Castle Bolton in Yorkshire, Nick. It was out in the open, but for some reason the bird kept returning there. We did have sunshine in Yorkshire as well, as later images will prove.

Weather has been pretty bad over the last 24hrs, with a months worth of rain falling in that period causing the river Calder to burst it's banks. I think your shot sums up the conditions perfectly and I really like the rain streaks.

perhaps not the most attractive perch but the image does sum our summer up nicely! Nicely done David.
