Wolf Creek Pass W/repost
This is a photo I took at the base of Wolf Creek Pass, Co.
I'd appreciate any comments/critic on both the photo and processing.

Richard, it looks a bit gloomy, no doubt from heavy overcast when the shot was made. However, when you bring up the image in PS Curves, the histogram is shaded sharply to the left, suggesting initial exposure problems.

However, if you use Curves you can adjust the image nicely, then I'd finish it off with John Mumaw's Image Polish action. Give it a try and see what you think.

I agree Howard, it does look dard (more so than on my monitor) I went back and bumped up the brightness and also converted to sRGB which I forgot before.
Hope this is a little better

Ok...I agree, it does look dark, especially compared to my screen. Also, I forgot to convert to sRGB, so here's a repost.

Richard, Just to see how it would look, you might try cropping the left side to eliminate the spindly aspen. My eye went right to that, particularly in the darker image. I have been chastised for putting in partial trees etc. I think the critics were right. Show it all or none of it. The only thing is you would lose some gate. Try it, if you like, and see it if helps.

Looks good to me, Rich. I agree with Rod's remarks. :wavey:

The repost looks much better. I like your comp, but I do see Rod's point about the tree on the left. But, you don't want to lose any of the gate. Maybe just darken the tree some so it doesn't pull the eye as much? The storm light adds a lot of mood here. Nicely done.
