Rocky Mountain Goats
Sorry I have not posted lately but work seems to have gotten in the way. I did make a short trip to Colorado last week and made it up to Mount Evans. I had always heard about the mountain goats near the summit so we headed up and found them.

The road to Mount Evans is the highest paved road in North America. The summit is just over 14,000 feet and a very short hike puts you on the summit of Mount Evans. It was snowing when we reached the parking lot.

Here is a shot of a mature mountain goat and shot 2 is of a couple of babies most likely born within the last month.

Here are the baby mountain goats.

These are very nice, Tom. The first is a nice portrait - I like the eye contact in this image as it really gives a sense of connecting with the goat. I like the second one too with the way that the baby mountain goats appear to be cautiously peering over the adult. Nice captures. :toast:

Both are great shots, Tom! And what a nice place to think about right now - 97 degrees outside here...

I'd love to see and photograph these someday. Not a good situation down that way right now. Thanks for sharing these.
